A cold day at the beach

Monday dawned a bit cloudy. While we waited for the clouds to burn off Alaina and I got pedicures (sorry no pics), and went shopping. After lunch we gave up on the clouds clearing and headed to the beach in jackets. Wish we had checked the weather Sunday- this would have been a great day weather wise to go to Disney. Instead we went on Tuesday when it was 100 degrees. Too Hot.
Andrew spent the first part digging in the sand
love Alaina's smile!
This is what made her happy- cute kids playing!
The brave people were by the water
Luke discovered life was warmer under the sand
Andrew sharing
Another great smile- I love being BEHIND the camera!
Georgia and Luke
And then Alaina got the camera- payback :0)
Curtis added a whole new dimension to being buried by making the kids look bigger
And giving Luke arm muscles
Andrew got in on the action- but wasn't to excited
Until he saw he was doing what his brother was doing
At the very end the sun came out- Andrew spent the second half down by the water in his jacket (until the sun came out) holding dad's hand and loving it!

Luke still wasn't brave enough to come out...
Enjoying the sun and pretzels
Luke helping Andrew see a big ship
Sand angels
For both kids

And as we got ready to go Luke, who had already cleaned his body/feet off and put on his crocs then helped to clean out the buckets. Unfortunately, a big wave came and we said so long to one of Luke's crocs. Mom and Luke were equally upset. Dad saved the day by finding some at the local sporting goods store.

The picture of Luke helping Andrew see the ship is SO CUTE! Looks like an awesome day (once the sun came out). No one likes to be cold at THE BEACH!
